ISACA recognises NDPC for regulatory leadership in Nigeria

The Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC) has been recognised by the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA) for its regulatory leadership within Nigeria’s digital sector.
The Commission received the Industry Leader Regulator Recognition Award during the ISACA Lagos Chapter 30th Anniversary Celebration held in Lagos. Ms Omoikhefe Ahimie, the NDPC Lagos Liaison Officer, accepted the award on behalf of the National Commissioner/CEO, Dr Vincent Olatunji.
The award was presented by the Global CEO of ISACA, Erik Prusch. The recognition highlights the NDPC’s efforts to improve resilience, good governance, and professional standards in the industry while driving digital trust across the country.
Speaking at the event, Ms Ahimie emphasised the strategic partnership between the NDPC and ISACA. She noted that this collaboration is essential for promoting professionalism and maintaining robust governance within Nigeria’s digital ecosystem.
The anniversary celebration also saw the presentation of the Contributor to Chapter Knowledge Development Awards to several individuals, including Prof. Zechariah Akinpelu, Dr Harrison Nnaji, Dr Ronke Agoro, Dr Adedoyin Talabi, and Mr Abumere Igboa, for their contributions to the field.
